The change to Java™ architecture for the Browser applications adds significantly to the power and flexibility of R6 graphical applications.  Click here for a link to an Infor document that provides R7 changes up to R7.7.  And click here for a document that details enhancements for 7.8.  Examples of those enhancements include:

  • Power Expand—open multiple levels of tree structures.
  • Compound Card layouts, which present list view, card file, and tree structure layouts on the same page.
  • Presentation schemes that allow you to highlight fields with color based on user defined criteria.
  • Expanded column statistics.
  • Notify capability allows you to e-mail browser data automatically.

There are also many functional enhancements in Release 7, and Infor plans to continue to provide enhancements using R7 as the base. Included in R7 are improvements like:

  • EPDM Costing Simulations to simulate the impact of changing prices or manufacturing costs on your overall product cost.
  • Costed, Indented Bill of Material for a quick view of product cost structure.
  • Purchase Variance displays actual versus expected purchase price for an invoice.

There are also planned enhancements to the Materials Management applications including COM Fulfillment (pick and ship) and warehouse transactions, IFM, AM, and many others.
